we'll answer you directly, as well as here.
Q: How is it on feedback?
A: Feedback isn't a problem with the SkullWorx units once you fine tune the volume for your specific helmet. The space between your face and the plastic material of the helmet can greatly affect the sound waves and how they reach the microphone causing feedback squeal. Once the volume is fine tuned, the Voice Amplifier's easy-reach switch allow you to power on/off the amp without having to re-adjust the volume again. Ideal speaker location is inside the aerators where the sound waves are focused away from the microphone.
Q: Do I have to drill holes in my helmet for the aerator speakers?
A: Yes. To use the aerator speakers you will have to put 2 small holes in the helmet. This is to allow the speaker wires to be fed to the wiring inside the helmet. They won't ever show, as they're next to each aerator screw and covered by the aerators outside, and by the tubing inside.
Q: Can I add a static burst unit?
A: Yes, a static burst unit can be plugged in between the microphone and the amp if they utilize standard jack sizes (1/8 inch / 2.5mm mono). You may need to replace your SkullWorx mic with a powered mic. Powered mics are available through most static burst unit distributors for far less than retail. We recommend Hyperdynelabs Trooper Voice Amp. We've confirmed that it works perfectly with Skullworx, but the Hyperdyne unit requires a powered mic for operation.
Here is a video submitted by Neil Cooke demonstrating how Skullworx and Hyperdyne work together.

Q: Will
it work with my aftermarket 'accurate mic tips' ?
A: The Skullworx unit was designed to work with
"stock" aerators. If you have access, and enough room inside your 'accurate mic tips' you can certainly install the speakers in them. You'll need at least 20+mm (approx. 3/4") internal diameter.
Q: Does it fit inside a...
Fett helmet?
A: Due to the wide array of sizes available in Fett helmets, we're working with owners of Fett helmets on a case by case basis to customize Skullworx units to fit their unique needs. Circumference size is required as well as an estimation of the available space between the head and helmet when putting it on. Approx. 1/2" gap between the head and helmet all the way around is required for a Skullworx-Fett unit to fit.
Episode 2 Clone trooper helmet?
A: We've not had the opportunity to test fit a SkullWorx unit in person, but we know that several end users have modified their units to work just fine (one speaker at the center dimple, smaller battery boxes).
Episode 3 Clone trooper helmet?
A: YES! The E3 unit has speaker enclosures that are size acurate and look like what is seen in the movies.
TIE helmet?
A: The TIE helmet is basically a TK helmet,
so yes, a SkullWorx unit will fit inside a TIE helmet. The aerator speakers pose a problem, however, due to the hoses that are a part of the TIE helmet. An alternate speaker or the aerator speakers can be mounted elsewhere, but no instruction or suggestions are made in the manual.
"ANH sized" TK helmet? (updated 3/1/2006)
A: Yes. The tubing at the back of the ring is adjustable any circumference sizing needs.
Q: Do you take money orders or cashier's checks?
A: Yes, we accept money orders, cashier's checks, Paypal,
and credit cards via Paypal. We do not accept personal checks.
Please Email
us for the mailing address if you need to send a money order or cashier's
check.
Q: How loud is the Voice Amplifier? Can I be heard over a crowd and address them all?
A: The voice amplifier should not be confused with a true public address system.
The speakers put out a decent amount of volume for their size and you can be heard in a crowd, but they are no comparison to the larger speakers used in a PA system. Voice amplification volume is approximately normal / above normal speaking volume and is for clarity more than volume. Recent field tests in a busy parking lot proved being able to be heard from about 15 feet away.
A larger speaker (not included) can be externally mounted to provide the volume required without feedback if a PA system is what you desire. The voice amplifier has an external speaker jack specifically for this purpose.
